What is Buyer Protection?

Every purchase on KitMarket includes a Buyer Protection fee that ensures your transaction is safe, secure, and backed by our support team. This fee covers payment processing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and customer support.

How much does it cost?

This small fee is automatically added at checkout and gives you complete peace of mind.

Minimum fee: 1.78% of the item price + €2.75 — whichever of the two calculations is higher applies.

Secure Payment Processing

Your payment is held in escrow by Stripe until the parcel is delivered and you confirm the kit. Sellers are only paid after that.

If the item you receive is significantly different from the listing description, you're eligible for a full refund.

Easy Refunds

If a return or dispute is approved, the funds are never released to the seller and your refund goes back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

Purchase an Item

When you buy an item, the protection fee is automatically added to your total. Your payment is held securely.

Item Ships

The seller ships your item with a tracked label. You get delivery updates automatically.

Receive & Inspect

You have 2 days from delivery to inspect the kit and either confirm it or request a return in your Orders page.

Confirm or Report

Confirm and the seller is paid instantly. Do nothing and the payment is released automatically 2 days after delivery. Request a return within those 2 days and the funds stay on hold until it's resolved.

The Buyer Protection fee is non-refundable and applies to all purchases made through KitMarket.

Protection does not cover buyer's remorse or size/fit issues unless the item was significantly misdescribed in the listing.

You must confirm the order or request a return within 2 days of delivery; after that the payment is released to the seller automatically.

To file a dispute, you'll need to provide evidence such as photos, messages, and tracking information.

Sellers receive 100% of the item price with zero platform fees - buyers pay the protection fee for secure transactions.
