Match issue / match prepared

The shirt was supplied to a player for a match — properly prepared with nameset, sponsor and any patches correct for that fixture — but wasn't necessarily the one actually worn on the pitch. Squads often have backup shirts prepared per match that never see play.

Retail

How Photo-Matching Works

Match-worn claims are verified by comparing specific, identifiable details of the physical shirt — a repair, a particular wear pattern, exact patch placement — against photographs or footage from the claimed match. Why Unverified Claims Deserve Caution
